Lovely converted stables with beautiful courtyard and inviting restaurant. Food is fresh, imaginatively prepared; coffee is excellent. Well worth a trip to the Dalkeith Country Gardens.

We hosted a wedding celebration here in May - sight unseen, on the recommendation of my sisters - and it was a fantastic venue. The grounds are beautiful (so many photographic spots), the food is really delicious and the staff, so so helpful and friendly; Sheridan was an absolute star to work with. A really positive experience!

The most delicious and exciting plate of smashed avocado for brunch. Lush coffee. Fantastic service and the loveliest little space. Will be back!

On a beautiful sunny day in Dalkeith, my partner and I decided to take a wee wander down to The Restoration Yard for some lunch. We were greeted at the door, and despite not having a reservation, we managed to get seated outside with a beautiful view in the sunshine. We both went for the steak frites with chimichurri and we shared a mac n cheese. The steaks were cooked beautifully, the fries were lovely and crisp and well seasoned, and the mac n cheese was made with applewood I think, which I loved. If I was being picky, the mac n cheese could have used a little salt but that really is looking for flaws. We went next door for an ice cream afterwards and that was delicious too. We will be back again soon!

Stopped off for breakfast/brunch on the drive home from Edinburgh. All four of us enjoyed our breakfast. Excellent portion size and quality of ingredients. Only criticism from the group was lack of hash browns/tattie scones as we missed a potato element but we enjoyed everything we did have and would visit again.

Charmant Restaurant in the middle of a big park. Beautiful place to make a stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner after walking or playing in the Park. There are a lot of possibilities to play for kids nearby the restaurant. The menue offers many different delicious dishes. The service was very friendly and quick. Highly recommended! And the coffee is fantastic!

WOW this was just fabulous from start to finish. Set in gorgeous grounds. Such a warm welcome on arrival. We were first to arrive and were seated straight away. We had booked. Began to fill up really quickly. The place was just so tastefully decorated. Lovely lady sat us and took our order. Food was amazing. Sour dough toast with smashed avocado. Was presented beautifully and tastefully amazing. Really good portion size. My friend has only recently moved to the area and had recommended that we had our breakfast here before taking the littleone to the adventure park. I definitely want to return to try lunch dishes on my next visit xx
